Music is known to have a profound effect on the life of people. Beyond helping elevate moods and causing people to relax, music has been proven to heal and mould minds, reaching deep down into the psyche and enabling the type of fulfilment that can never be transcended by anything else. Karnatik music is a complex, highly technical and aesthetically unique art form that demands a rigorous training regimen and several years of discipline practice under the watchful guidance of a guru.

One such befitting personality to this form is Vidwan K.V. Krishna Prasad, who was born on January 29th 1988 to Sri K.N. Venkatanarayana and Smt. Chandrakala into a family of Karnatik music lovers. Krishna Prasad grew up listening to the greatest voices of Karnatik music around him through radio, concerts, workshops which sowed in him the seeds of hunger for this traditional form.

He started his formal training at the tender age of eight under gurus Vidushi Geetha, Vidushi Swarnalatha, Vidwan M.V. Raghuram. Currently, he is under the tutelage and able guidance of Gaanakalabhushana Vidwan R.K. Padmanabha and this, has marked his musical ascendency and journey of becoming a complete performer. Krishna Prasad, today, has carved a niche for himself gaining immense appreciation and praise for his deep rooted knowledge and rendering of Karnatik vocal music.
